| I will paint and draw anything on commission, covering many subjects, including pets, people, places, buildings etc. (see "Miscellany Gallery"). I prefer to work from life drawing, making preliminary sketches, and taking photographs. But I am very happy to produce a work from your own favourite photograph(s), or to bring my digital camera along and take photographs of your chosen subject from which to compose a painting. The price of a commissioned work will vary enormously and will be primarily dependent upon the size, the intricacies or detail required, the media used (water colour pictures invariably require more time to complete than do oils), and of course the subject. But a price can be agreed at the initial discussion, and a small deposit paid (10 per cent) once everything has been agreed. Should you not be completely satisfied with the completed work, then I will retain it and your deposit will be returned to you. (This has never happened yet, and I do hope it never does!) If a commission is suitable for print production, I will ask that you very kindly allow me to produce 10 limited edition prints for sale in general. Copyright of a picture usually remains with the Artist. Other types of commission might be:
