| Splendid Magnolia O1005 This is one of five paintings exhibited at the Society of Botanical Artists 25th Anniversary Exhibition, Great Westminster Hall, London, April 2010. This picture is painted on Aquarelle Arches hot pressed 100% cotton rag. The silver ring is metallic ink on a raised gesso base. The background is a blue water colour wash and the flowers and leaves are water colour. Many thanks to Mr Alan Adams of Comberton,who allowed me to pluck the live specimens from the tree in his front lawn. ORIGINAL WATER COLOUR SOLD: Comberton Village Hall Exhibition July 2010. Completed January 2010. 8" x 12". Framed and glazed, with acid free mount. |
